Tumpeng
A birthday tradition, made with way too much love.
Tumpeng is a big deal in Indonesian culture, a cone of turmeric rice surrounded by all your favorite dishes, shaped like a mountain to symbolize gratitude and celebration. Bagus’ mom used to make it for everyone’s birthdays, andnow… guess we’re the mom!
This isn’t just us catering your special day, it’s a one-off labor of love. we make just a few each month, usually for birthdays, milestones, or if you want to surprise someone you care about (including yourself).
What’s in it?
You get a full cone of nasi kuning (Indonesian turmeric coconut rice), beautifully arranged on a banana leaf-lined bamboo tray, surrounded by a mix of savory side dishes.
How It Works
Step 1 – Choose your size
8″ Mountain – Feeds about 5 people
10″ Mountain – Feeds about 10 people
Each one comes on a round bamboo tray with banana leaves and a cone of nasi kuning (Indonesian turmeric coconut rice) in the center.
Step 2 – Choose your feast

Ratu (Queen) Set – 8 side dishes (Raja + 3 more dishes)

Why the Price Difference?
Each Tumpeng takes hours of prep, from rendang that simmers forever to hand-tying banana leaves. The 8″ trays take just as much work, even though they feed fewer people, which is why the price-per-head is slightly higher.
The Ratu Set adds three extra dishes, that’s more cooking, plating, garnishing, and wrapping. It’s truly a feast fit for a queen (or yourself).

Pickup from Downtown Brooklyn is free.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made more than 7 days before your scheduled pickup or delivery date are eligible for a full refund or can be transferred to a future date.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled date are non-refundable, as each Tumpeng is made to order using perishable ingredients and requires advance preparation.
If your order is canceled or rescheduled by us, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future date.
